Education for Vulnerable Children
Education is one of the strongest stabilizers in a child’s life. At All Is Grace School in Ndola, Zambia, children receive consistent primary education in a setting designed for safety, structure, and encouragement.
Many of our students come from households facing poverty and instability. Some have lost one or both parents. Others live with daily uncertainty that makes learning difficult. Education for vulnerable children is not only about reading and counting. It is about creating a steady place where children can grow.
A Safe Place to Begin
A child learns best when the environment is predictable and kind. At All Is Grace School, children are welcomed each morning by teachers who know their names and pay attention to what they are carrying.
For many students, the school meal is also a reliable source of nourishment. This consistency matters. It supports attendance, improves focus, and helps children feel that school is a place they can depend on.
Building a Foundation That Lasts
Primary education shapes more than academic skills. It builds confidence, curiosity, and the ability to persist through challenges.
In our classrooms, children practice literacy and numeracy, but they also learn to listen, share, and participate. These are small daily experiences that form the foundation for long-term learning and healthy relationships.
More Than a School
All Is Grace School is a community space. Parents and caregivers know that their children have a place to go each day that is structured and supervised.
Demand is high, and classrooms are full. We are operating at capacity, which is both encouraging and challenging. Expansion will require additional classrooms, materials, and support for the staff who carry the daily work.
Why It Matters
Education for vulnerable children changes what becomes possible. It can interrupt cycles of hardship by giving children real skills, stable routines, and a stronger sense of hope.
When you support this program, you are supporting the conditions that help a child stay in school and keep going.
